This session is focused on supporting educators with understanding Student-Level reports in PowerUp and using the data from these reports to plan for instructional next steps. Educators will identify abd analyze key reports (Student Overview, Skills Report, Detailed Skills Report, Standards Report) to assist with monitoring student’s performance in each of the three strands of the program. Time will be spent using student data from the 24-25SY to connect student needs to targeted Lexia instructional resources and plan for targeted, small group instruction for the upcoming year.

Participants will explore the critical link between vocabulary and comprehension, discover interactive methods for introducing new words, learn to select high-impact vocabulary, and leave with immediately implementable activities and routines.

In this asynchronous session, teachers will access the FLINN Safety course for their content area to complete course for their level (new teachers) or renew their certification (must be completed every 3 years).

This technique offers students choice to try differing levels of difficulty in assessments. Several versions of questions are scaled to correspond with levels on the Blooms Taxonomy chart and students choose which leveled section they feel most competent in completing.
Dive into the new 2023 Virginia History and Social Science Standards of Learning (SOL) in this engaging 90-minute professional learning session. Participants will explore key changes in the standards, gain insight into the inquiry-based approach, and familiarize themselves with the new Henrico Instructional Guides. Educators will also have dedicated time to dive into their first unit, collaborate with colleagues, and begin planning for a smooth transition.
