Additionally, each participant will leave with a set of materials they can use in their classrooms in the Fall.

Participants will learn about HCPS Secondary Science safety resources and processes to support students' science inquiry in lab investigations. This is a required session for all science teachers with 0-3 years of experience.
Students often need something tangible at the beginning of class that will help them become engaged, reflect on what they already know, and guide them to investigate the scientific phenomena at a deeper level. These easy to setup demos will increase the levels and lines of questioning, explore models for testing and data collection, and connect students to important curricular concepts. Each demo is tied to several storylines that you can use to extend learning or make the learning more meaningful to the student.

Come take a look at 3D Molecular's Flow of Genetic Information Kits as a hands-on model for students in Biology! Participants will have a chance to explore these kits and give feedback on use with students to model replication, transcription and translation. Join us for some exploration fun!
