This session is focused on supporting educators with understanding Student-Level reports in PowerUp and using the data from these reports to plan for instructional next steps. Educators will identify abd analyze key reports (Student Overview, Skills Report, Detailed Skills Report, Standards Report) to assist with monitoring student’s performance in each of the three strands of the program. Time will be spent using student data from the 24-25SY to connect student needs to targeted Lexia instructional resources and plan for targeted, small group instruction for the upcoming year.

This session will provide a refresher or introduction to planning for day 2 instruction. Participants will explore the components and resources that support intervention including word talks, Lexia PowerUp, small group instruction, whole group comprehension, and an optimistic closure.

This session is designed to provide middle school ELA educators with a collaborative, hands-on opportunity to analyze student data, create flexible groups, and enhance teaching strategies and best practices to support the development of skilled readers. Through practical activities and real-world examples, teachers will gain new tools and strategies that they can implement when designing and delivering small group instruction.
